7 Essential Qualities of Women Who Lead

When you think about leadership, what skills immediately come to mind? Perhaps strategy, negotiations, education, technical knowledge, communication, power and presence? While those are extremely important qualities to have, studies have shown that soft skills are even more important in leadership than the hard skills we have grown accustomed to. While hard skills will get you the job, it's the soft skills that will get you to the top.

In the engaging and interactive session, Judy will speak about seven essential leadership qualities and traits that are paramount to success. Be prepared to walk away with useful, proven tips and best practices.

Judy Hoberman, President of Walking on the Glass Floor and Selling In A Skirt - International Speaker, Trainer, Coach, Author and Mentor. Her 30 years in business has given her both the knowledge and sense of humor about how men and women sell, work and live differently will enlighten you in learning how both genders can support each other’s successes in a more productive way.

Her audiences, from 10 to 10,000 are engaged with details wrapped in memorable stories that are easily implemented that same day. In 2016 she was a TEDx speaker talking about pre-judging people, something we all do without even thinking. She is the author of “Selling In A Skirt”, “Famous Isn’t Enough”, “Pure Wealth” and “Walking on the Glass Floor” is about the soft skills of leadership. A complete training program rounds out the training and development of women in leadership and the men that champion them. As her book was coming off the printing press, Judy completed a program from Cornell University's College of Business in Women in Leadership and a second program for Women in Entrepreneurship. Her company’s focus is on three main verticals: Technology, Financial and Healthcare.

She was recently named as a Woman to Watch for International Women’s Day 2019 from Thrive Global.

Judy’s mission…to help One Woman A Day by following an important philosophy-“Women want to be treated equally, not identically”™

Light dinner of sandwiches and salads is served.

Scholarships from the Feld Group Institute for

    2 DFW*ATW Members

The Feld Group Institute (TFGI) is providing DFW*ATW members 2 scholarships, valued at $3000 each, for the Operationalizing Enterprise Architecture class, “Transforming in the Modern Era”, for August 20-22, 2019

As a key part of transformation in the Modern Era, companies must do more than prescribe and govern an Enterprise Architecture. We must also build it and operationalize it. We will delve into the changing nature of the enterprise architecture required to support accelerated modernization and change. Leaders in the class will learn – just as importantly – how to put in motion the required organization, funding, and operating structures that are necessary to operationalize Enterprise Architecture design and principles. Participants leave inspired and educated, accountable for actions/changes within their organizations.

Location: Arrowhead Ranch, 2220 Spring Hill Road, Aubrey, TX

    Contact Information: (214) 930-2383,

    Dates: August 20 – 22, 2019

    Times:  Tuesday – Wednesday - 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Thursday – 8:30 AM – 2 PM

The class is structured around a proven, end-to-end framework with real-world case studies to highlight key principles. Lectures, small group discussions and activities encourage classroom engagement and foster collaboration among participants. The class is taught by Charlie Feld and Affiliates, of The Feld Group Institute. The Affiliates represent IT line-leaders, as well as deeply experienced CIOs and CTOs.

    Participants will learn to:

    • Reframe the dialogue about enterprise architecture
    • Convey that architecture outcomes are as critical as business outcomes
    • Connect the dots between enterprise architecture and business strategy
    • Operationalize enterprise architecture with the required people, funding, and processes

The class is designed for Enterprise Architects, Leaders of Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio/Domain Architects, and Business Architects. While the acceptance into the class is selective, the Technology Leadership Development (TLD) program is not a pre-requisite for this class. The TFGI framework will be leveraged to ensure that a common language exists between the TLD program and this class.
